Objectives: The objection of this project was to take an existing album without knowing anything about the initial artist/artists' music, and redesign the cover to our interpretation of them based on the music on that album.
Process: In redesigning my clients' album “Hot Shot”, I had to do a lot of research on all the songs released on this specific album. Without knowing much about the client & album, I took specific words throughout these songs and brainstormed potential design ideas based on the words that stood out the most to me. I then decided on a variety of words I thought represented the client the most and drew and designed a cover I thought represented them the most.
Materials/Mediums Used: I used Adobe Illustrator for the initial outline of the drawing, and then added colour & texture in Photoshop.
